Import an M-Pesa statement
Picks up payments you were never notified about. Money received is recorded; money you paid out is listed below so you can record it as an expense.
Import a bank statement
Adds the statement's lines to your records and, when the file has a running balance column, files its closing balance for the Cash position. A file with no balance column still imports; the closing balance is simply not read. With more than one bank account, name the account for each statement: every account keeps its own closing balance and the Cash position compares their total with your books.
Refunds owed to customers
A credit note on an invoice the customer had already paid leaves that money owed back to them. Send it from your M-Pesa, bank or till first, then record it here; this records the refund, it doesn't send the money. You can refund in parts.

Hesalio's suggestions for unmatched payments
Payments that have waited more than a day. These are suggestions only: nothing is applied until you decide, in the list below. Hesalio never marks an invoice paid on its own.
M-Pesa payments that need a decision
Money that reached you but couldn't be applied to an invoice — usually a second payment for an invoice that was already paid, or a payment short of the total. It is held for the customer (not counted as a sale) until you apply it to the right invoice or refund it.

Payments waiting to be matched to an invoice
Matching a payment to an invoice marks that invoice paid without counting the sale twice. You can undo a match below.
